RedPen is happy to work with writers and producers in a consultant role. If you operate in the Sacramento area, a personal meeting is certainly possible.  For longer distances, we are happy to use Skype or FaceTime to facilitate face-to-face meetings. 

All consulting services are charged at a per-hour rate.

Tutoring - We are available to tutoring at all levels. Though we specialize in high school, undergraduate, and graduate writing projects, we are happy to provide tutoring across the academic spectrum. Tutoring is available at a cost of $55.00 per hour.

Classes - We are available to teach writing workshops on a variety of subjects, depending on the client's needs. Feel free to inquire - we probably have the expertise, and definitely have the experience. We will develop the class for free, and classroom time will be charged at $240.00 per hour, regardless of audience size.

Developmental Editing - This is covered under the Editing header, but this form of editing also falls under consulting. Face-to-face interaction is the best way to discuss issues of content and organization. We will view the manuscript through a wider lens, examining high-order concerns, and work with the author through the phases of writing and revision to ensure the manuscript reaches its potential. We will address broad issues of content and organization, identify gaps in content, delete divergent content, and rewrite/restructure text. We will coach the author through the writing process as needed. Developmental editing is charged at a rate of $85.00 per hour
